It’s finally here! My four weeks of hard work come to a close and I present a new film, Ego.

After the success of The Consequence ( [link] ) I thought I’d make one more shadow film to gauge my progress over the past year. I think this film is a drastic improvement, with better storytelling, timing, art, and a lot more time invested in the small details.

This film is composed of live-action shadow puppetry, digitally painted backgrounds, frame-by-frame animation with watercolor, and some digital assistance where handmade wouldn’t suffice.

The music is done by Julian Beutel ( [link] ).

The cinematography was done by Maxwell Nisus ( *mixdown ).

All art, editing, and story elements were created by me, Victoria Van Patten.

This was a big accomplishment to get done in a month, but I did it, and I think it turned out well all things considered. I hope everyone likes it.
